Artist Of The Month

And The Artist Of The Month Is…Jukebox The Ghost

As you may know I am an iTunes-a-holic and to make sure I remember to listen to older songs, once a month I will add all songs by a particular artist to my iPod so that for that month I will have their songs pop up when I play it on shuffle mode.

This month I have chosen Jukebox The Ghost. (more…)

And The Artist Of The Month Is…James Blunt

A new feature for Steve Says…

As you may know I am an iTunes-a-holic and to make sure I remember to listen to older songs, once a month I will add all songs by a particular artist to my iPhone so that for that month I will have their songs pop up when I play it on shuffle mode.

This month I have chosen James Blunt. I think he gets a hard time and people should stop using his name for a word that rhymes with his second name. That’s not very nice – behave!

Yes, he speaks with a very posh voice and he has a rather funny looking face but who cares. He’s perfectly aware of this as he sings in “Bones” from his new album Moon Landing

He has a unique singing voice and sings really good songs. Also, he was in the army – so show some respect. I’ve had all his albums on my iPhone since the beginning of March and I just love it when one of his songs comes on. I’ve liked him ever since he sang “You’re Beautiful”…

The album Back To Bedlam had a mixture of songs that made me feel happy and ones that made me feel quite reflective such as “Goodbye My Lover”…

A particular line of the lyrics for “Wisemen” always make me laugh but I suppose “having a semi by the sea” might not make everyone laugh…

He released a couple of albums after that and I was aware of some of the songs but never really started listening properly again until recently and this made me realise it would be a good idea to set up this feature.

Ironically (or is it?) his song “Bonfire Heart” was playing on the radio when we were driving back from a fireworks display on the 5th November (Bonfire Night)…

So James, thank you for being my “Artist Of The Month”
